This year’s International Women’s Day theme—March Forward for All Women and Girls— is a reminder that diversity targets are well and good, but action is required for progress.

At BizCubed, diversity isn’t just a policy—it’s built into the way we recruit, onboard, and operate. As a woman-owned company, we’re proud that 50% of our management team and 47% of our employees are female. True diversity requires the creation of pathways for people to build careers, grow their skills, and lead. We’re committed to creating opportunities and investing in people.

IWD is also a chance to celebrate progress, achievements, and our diverse team.

Today, we’re highlighting Sneha Bahl, who recently stepped into the role of Data Engineer after growing her skills and experience within BizCubed. She shares her journey, insights on workplace diversity, and thoughts on what IWD means to her.

Education & Experience

Sneha has a Master’s degree in Machine Learning and Computer Vision from The Australian National University on top of her Bachelor of Technology, Computer Science achieved at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology in Delhi. She’s been a working engineer for nearly five years and continues to build her expertise with licenses and certifications.

Tell us how you came to work at BizCubed.

I was looking to explore data roles and gain hands-on experience in different areas. When I came across BizCubed, it felt like the right place to learn and grow.

The opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and be part of a supportive team really stood out to me, so I joined as a Junior Data Engineer.

How is your role at BizCubed different to your previous roles?

My previous role was as a Machine Learning Scientist, which was very different technically—it involved a completely different skill set. I worked more independently on projects within a focused area.

At BizCubed, I’ve had the chance to work across various functions, including Project Delivery, Service Operations, and Infrastructure. This variety has helped me develop a much broader understanding of data and technology.

The team encourages everyone to take ownership of their work, which has helped me grow professionally.

How do you see diversity at BizCubed?

Diversity at BizCubed isn’t just about ticking boxes—it’s about creating an environment where different perspectives are valued. Everyone brings their own background and experiences, and that makes for a really dynamic team.

It’s great to work somewhere that values people for their skills and contributions, rather than just fitting into a mould.

Do you feel a sense of equality and egalitarianism at BizCubed? Do you feel that BizCubed invests in its employees equally?

Yes. Everyone’s ideas are valued, and there’s a real focus on collaboration rather than hierarchy. No matter your role or background, you’re encouraged to contribute, and your work is recognised. There’s a genuine effort to create a fair and supportive workplace.

The company provides opportunities for learning and growth across different areas, and there’s a strong emphasis on skill development. Whether it’s through mentorship, hands-on projects, or exposure to new challenges, everyone gets the chance to develop their career.

Do you have a perspective on IWD that you would like to share?

International Women’s Day is a great time to reflect on progress, but also on what still needs to change. It’s not just about celebrating women’s achievements—it’s about making sure opportunities are open to everyone, every day.

Real inclusivity happens when workplaces actively create environments where people can grow and succeed, regardless of gender.
