Marking IWD 2024 by spotlighting female team members
In honour of International Women’s Day, BizCubed is shining a spotlight on female team members. We’re asking about their experience at BizCubed and their thoughts on IWD. Today we hear from @Karina Liauw, Junior Data Engineer.
Q. Tell us how you came to work at BizCubed.
A. My initial entry into BizCubed happened right after completing my university studies. At that time, I was actively seeking employment opportunities in the data engineering field.
Q. How is your role at BizCubed different to your previous roles?
A. BizCubed marked the beginning of my professional career post-graduation, setting it apart from my prior experiences. The key distinction lies in the diverse range of clients and projects I engage with in my current role.
Q. How do you see diversity at BizCubed?
A. Within BizCubed, one of the enriching aspects of our workplace is the international and gender diversity among my colleagues which enhances collaboration and productivity.
Q. Do you feel a sense of equality and egalitarianism at BizCubed?
A. Certainly, and a contributing factor is the inclusive work culture that promotes equal opportunities for all.
Q. Do you feel that BizCubed invests in its employees equally?
A. Yes, BizCubed demonstrates a commitment to equal investment in its employees. This is evident in the capacity planning and equitable distribution of tasks.
Q. Do you have a perspective on IWD that you would like to share?
A. On International Women’s Day, it’s important to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women worldwide. At BizCubed, we value diversity and equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender. Let’s continue working towards a world where everyone can succeed and contribute, no matter their gender.
